We faced a situation at home. We didn't have a few cages and birds: we had a veritable condominium of cages. Six cages, to be precise. And these birds loved to fling seeds out of their cages. The floor in front of the cages were bestrewn with seeds. Using a regular vacuum cleaner was too cumbersome and none of the more convenient options worked. They would stop sucking up the seeds. We even got a Roomba, but it always found itself lodged, stuck, or lost — everywhere except where we needed it to clean.
As sometimes happens, I was drifting between being awake and falling asleep with my phone in my hand, browsing Amazon. In this state of half-consciousness, I saw this vacuum cleaner and it seemed to be a good choice. A Dyson vacuum cleaner that was this light and cheap? I couldn't pass it up.
I was a bit disappointed (but not surprised) when the vacuum cleaner came, and it wasn't a Dyson. A Dyson at this price was too good to be true. I still unpacked it and decided to give it a go. If it didn't work — which is what I was expecting — I could always return it, right?
I unboxed it and assembled it. Very intuitive. I don't know if there were instructions included; I didn't need them anyway. I plugged it in and decided to wait until it was fully charged. But, I got impatient. So I unplugged it and started vacuuming.
The vacuum is not loud at all. It's comparatively quiet. It is very light. There's a light that shines from he front, illuminating the area being cleaned so I can easily see the debris. It sucked everything up effortlessly. With other vacuum cleaners, I'd need to go over the same area numerous time: not with this one. It. Works. So. Well. Honestly, it worked better than a Dyson! Once I was done, I had to check one more thing. I lifted the vacuum cleaner off the ground, and nothing fell out. Almost every cleaning device would launch a cascade of seeds and debris once lifted up. Not this one! I plugged it back in.
I use the vacuum cleaner every day — sometimes, multiple times a day. I've used it when people are asleep. I've used it while people are watching TV. I've used it while people were talking on the phone in the same room. It disturbed no one. In fact, I once vacuumed the area in front of the cages while my parents were watching TV, and my dad looked astonished at how the cage area was suddenly clean. He couldn't even tell I vacuumed it up.
A few weeks later, my mother told me about her experience with the vacuum cleaner. She was shocked how light and quiet it was. She was also surprised how it cleaned so well.
So…long story short, you cannot go wrong with this vacuum cleaner. It's not a Dyson or Shark or other brand name, but it doesn't have to be it. It's perfect just as it is.
