Update #3, low and behold there was a peice of napkin lodged under the wheel. I followed the troubleshooting instructions to push the wheel in and spin and BAM! a napkin came out. What the heck. So anyways it wasn't the vacuums fault it was mine. So I've placed it back to 5 stars. This vacuum is still loud and aggressive but it doesn't bother me as my floors are staying clean lol.
This vacuum only lasted 2months and is now malfunctioning. This is so frustrating. Do not buy!
1 week update: well it's been a week and it still bumps things loudly. I also was thinking it didn't clean very well compared to my other one(the old one had a full bin daily), but what I realized is the filter was packed with dirt after my daily dump, so it dawned on me that I set it to turbo when I set the cleaning schedule! So I went into the app and changed the setting to standard and low and behold the two days following that change, the dust bin is actually full! So in conclusion turbo mode is too strong! Causing the filter to become blocked. Keep it on standard until it gets old and loses power in a year or whatever then switch it to turbo! And make sure you shake out that filter everyday(or air compress blow it) also the dust bin says to wash it, but the manual says to only wash it once in 3 months so I just blow or shake it out and that's been fine in keeping it clean. I will wash it in about 3 months like the manual says. I also don't intend to try the mop portion because I have lvp so I don't trust it, since I can't control the water output. I'll stick to my mopping regimens.
I'll start it with a 5 star and update later. O think any robot vacuum owner will tell you, they just don't last and have mechanical issues at some point. My last robot vacuum lasted only 5 months(different brand) . With that being said. ..
If you have hard floors you just can't live without one of these. Day 1 my robot was confused and learning my home. I know over the months it will get familiar and do better. It ran 1.5 hours as promised in the manual. It came charged which was nice. Just had to snap the brushes on to vacuum and it was ready to go. Setting up the app, and setting the schedule and connecting the wifi was super quick and easy for me.
You do need to create a barrier for anywhere you don't want the vacuum to go which doesn't bother me. I close the bedroom doors and put my laundry basket in the doorway that goes to the laundry room(it has a ledge so if it goes in there it won't be able to get back out)and let it do its thing for the entire house(only 1700 square feet single story floor plan, minus the rooms, so not a huge area to complete) .
Only difference in this cheaper model so far is it bumps things mich more aggressive. Im certain after this robot learns my home it will calm down with the aggression lol. It also took about 10mins to find home to charge but that's OK too! It still eventually found its way!
Hoping to get a year out of this one, it will be like I paid someone to sweep my entire home for 12 bucks a month! And I'll be happy with that! No point in buying the expensive models, because they don't last either.
