OMEIGA CORDLESS STEAM IRON

3 out of 5 stars

OMEIGA CORDLESS STEAM IRON
So far, my testing of it to see how well the steam buttons work and it's ease of it being cordless is wonderful. What I see so far is pleasing me. I'll just have to weight when I use it. I'll check I'll just have to wait to use it.

I still iron unlike so many others nowadays. Not every time I do laundry, but I iron certain items every time they’re washed and I’ve always hated the cord messing up my work. This iron solves the problem beautifully. The only disadvantage I’ve found is that it cools more quickly than a corded iron and you have place it back on it’s pedestal every time, but it heats up just as quickly so it’s not annoying. It’s lightweight and smooth. Just about perfect for me. I even bought one for my sister!

I be tired of cords and this was the greatest gift to myself for my house. Works great, not heavy, good with water, gets very hot fast, nice size, modern design, lil leak like a normal iron when you turn it on and water still remain in the reservoir, iron quality on point

I like not having to worry about a cord when I am ironing. My old iron quit working so I opted to try this one. I like the weight of it and the convenience of no cord. To me the one downfall is trying to fit the iron back on the plug in the middle of the base so it will stay hot. It cools down if I don't keep it on the plug between pieces I am ironing.

We’ve been using this cordless iron basically every day since we bought it over a year ago. It’s durable and does take a bit of roughness and we allow our teens to also use as needed. Hasn’t given us any problems so far.

I was so excited to receive my cordless iron. Unfortunately, this iron is not ready for the consumer market. The iron itself is pretty cool, lite weight, easy to handle, works effectively when hot. The problems is getting the iron hot!! The iron is supposed to set on a charging hot plate an when it reaches the designated temperature you start ironing. The problem is unless you move at really, really fast the iron cools down before you get one sleeve done. i had to recharge the iron 6 times in an effort to finish one shirt. 25 min per shirt. NOT A FAN

I purchased this iron mainly because of its tapered nose and because of the quantity of water it holds. I am a quilter and press many, many seams. The tapered front end is so much handier than my previous iron with its somewhat blunt nose. This tapered nose presses open even tiny seams easily! And this iron holds a great deal of water so that one is not having to stop frequently to refill the iron. Love that feature! There is a sticker on the iron stating that distilled water is required, unlike many newer irons that can use common tap water.

I weighed this iron against my former iron, which had no liquid in it. My new iron, about half full of water was lighter. This is a definite plus for someone who has had rotator cuff surgery!

I have owned this purple iron about a month. I still like the color; it is something different than the usual gray and blue. The iron has functioned perfectly, and there has been no sputtering nor any dripping. However, I'm not overly fond of the 8-minute safety shut off because the iron frequently shuts off between my sewing needs and my ironing requirements. Alas, I shall just have to speed up, I guess.

You constantly have to put it back on the base and it cools too quickly.
