Super lightweight. Decent performance.

4 out of 5 stars

Super lightweight. Decent performance.
When the box arrived, I was honestly surprised by how small and light it was for a vacuum. Once fully assembled, it’s still incredibly lightweight. My Bissell hand vac is actually heavier than this one! It has three power modes: Eco, Mid, and Max. I mostly just stick to Max because I like that extra suction. Battery life is decent for its size. The suction is okay, but for the claimed 45kPa, I expected it to be a bit stronger. On hardwood floors, it does a solid job picking up hair and random debris. It’s not amazing on carpets, though – it manages, but I wouldn’t say it excels there. It comes with a decent set of accessories. I like the brush and the crevice tool, but it would've been great if they included an extra filter or battery. The roller brush is pretty soft, which doesn’t help much with carpet cleaning, and yes, hair tends to wrap around it pretty easily. The adjustable length is great for stairs and tight spots. The green LED light is a little unusual at first, but surprisingly useful. It actually helps highlight dust and debris on the floor. I’ve seen similar features on higher-end models, and this one holds up pretty well. I also like that it stands on its own without needing to lean against anything. Emptying the dustbin is super easy, and the filter can be cleaned with a quick blow to keep the suction going strong. One weird thing though – and this might be just with the product I received – the digital display always shows 66% battery, even when it’s fully charged. At first I thought maybe it's showing %99, but nope, it's 66% and it's stuck there even after use. Not a dealbreaker, but kind of odd. Overall, it’s a pretty decent cordless vac for light cleanup. Our robovac handles most of the daily vacuuming and mopping, so this is more for quick messes, stairs, and the car. It gets the job done, though I do think it’s slightly overpriced given the other options out there.

The GGV Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is a versatile and lightweight cleaning tool designed for home use. It features strong suction power, a long runtime, and multiple cleaning modes. Its stick vacuum design offers easy handling, with options for handheld use and convenient storage.

    Pros:
    Powerful Suction (23KPA):
Delivers strong suction to efficiently clean pet hair, dust, dirt, and debris from various surfaces including carpets, hard floors, and upholstery.

    Long Battery Life (35 Minutes):
Offers extended runtime on a single charge, allowing for thorough cleaning of larger areas without frequent interruptions to recharge.

    3 Cleaning Modes:
Multiple suction power settings provide flexibility for different cleaning needs — from gentle cleaning on delicate surfaces to powerful mode for stubborn dirt.

    Cordless and Lightweight Design:
Cord-free operation enhances maneuverability, making it easy to reach tight spots, stairs, and vehicles without the hassle of cords. The vacuum is lightweight for comfortable use over extended periods.

    Self-Standing & Wall Mount Charging:
The vacuum can stand upright on its own for convenient storage and comes with a wall mount charging station to save space and keep it ready for use.

    Handheld Conversion:
Easily converts to a handheld vacuum for spot cleaning furniture, car interiors, or small messes.

    Suitable for Pet Hair:
Designed to handle pet hair effectively, which can be challenging for many vacuum cleaners.

    Modern Design and Color:
Sleek black finish looks stylish and fits well in modern homes.

    Cons:
    Dustbin Capacity:
The dustbin might be smaller than some users expect, requiring frequent emptying during larger cleaning sessions.

    Noise Level:
Suction power comes with some noise, which might be louder than desired, especially in high-power mode.

    Charging Time:
The time it takes to fully recharge the vacuum can be relatively long compared to runtime, potentially causing downtime between uses.

    Limited Accessories:
May come with fewer attachments than some competitors, limiting specialized cleaning tasks like upholstery or crevices.

    Battery Life Decline Over Time:
As with most cordless vacuums, battery capacity and runtime may reduce after extended use or months of operation.

    No HEPA Filter Mentioned:
Lack of HEPA filtration could be a downside for allergy sufferers who need advanced dust and allergen capture.

    Summary:
The GGV Cordless Vacuum Cleaner stands out for its strong 23KPA suction power, versatile 3-mode operation, and 35-minute runtime, making it an excellent choice for everyday home cleaning. Its cordless design and self-standing feature offer convenience and flexibility, especially for pet owners and multi-surface cleaning. Some compromises include dustbin size and charging time, but overall it delivers great value for a lightweight and portable vacuum solution.

I have always been a budget/moderate priced level of vacuum shopper. So, caveat, that I've never used a Dyson and am not using that as a basis of comparison. Compared to every robot vacuum brand I've had, our Shark stick, our Black and Decker handheld, and our old Hoover upright, this is the best one I've tried! I actually just went and threw away almost every vacuum we own because I was so frustrated with them. Our robot vacuum I kept for convenience, but it tends to leave all the hairballs behind. What I most wanted was something that would just suck up the hair. This one does! I trialed it out in our playroom. It managed to get up all the dust, hairballs, and random bits of paper, but left behind stray tiny toy pieces. I love the green light that lets you see just how gross the hardwood floor really is before it cleans it up. It was very easy to clean up and I especially like that you can pop out the bristle roller to more easily clean it out from all the hair.
A few minor points: The manual describes the battery as blinking red when charging, but it actually stays solid red. It also states that a blue light means fully charged, but when it turned blue and I attached it to the vacuum for use the battery level was only at 62%. Nevertheless, it worked fine to do all the playroom and the stairs and the number on the battery level didn't even change, though it went back to red when I plugged it back in. I'll leave it longer and presumably it will eventually get up to 100%.
I'm looking forward to trying out the other attachments it came with, but for what I was hoping for, it's already great!
