This light vacuum cleaner hits the sweet spot between a heavy duty vacuum and a cordless handheld mini-vac. The main engine is light and shaped like a pitcher with a trigger to toggle the motor on and off and a switch for light and heavy suction. Configured as a floor vacuum it's powerful with a rotating floor brush and more suction than a rechargeable mini-vac. In fact, it kept sucking up a light area rug when I tried to roll across it, but this is the perfect size for occasionally vacuuming secure carpet and hard floors, especially around furniture. This works great for the tricky lane on the far side of my bed where the big vacuum won't fit even if I wanted to lift it over, and very quickly vacuumed litter debris my cats had kicked out of their boxes and all the crumbs out of the corners of my kitchen.
The corner tool is brilliant: instead of having a separate brush and corner attachment, the brush can retract with a button press to reveal the corner tool and click back into place when you need to brush stuck lint off of wall vents and fans. The main tube extends to nearly twice its length and I kept finding new places I could reach including ceiling vents, cobwebby corners, and narrow spaces behind furniture where my arm could not reach with a handheld vacuum. This will reach a ceiling fan, grab all the forgotten lint and webs behind the bookcase and under beds and couches, and remove debris from window blinds and windowsills. The extension is welcome to reach baseboards while standing instead of stooping or kneeling along corners.
The dust container dumps out with a button press, and an extra filter is included as well as a mini broom for thorough filter cleaning. The unit comes with a storage bracket you can mount on a wall with included screws so it can be easily accessible for daily or occasional vacuuming without the hassle of wheeling the big machine out of the closet.
Pros:
– Lightweight and easily maneuverable for light full-room vacuuming anywhere including walls and ceiling corners
– Easy to reconfigure: all attachments have obvious buttons for release or extension
– Combined brush and corner tool – switch easily between them instead of carrying two attachments
– Included wall mount for grab-and-use storage
– Bagless, easily dump out dust with a button press, includes extra filter and mini-broom to brush clean
– Light and heavy suction settings; more power than a rechargeable vac
– Lights on floor tool illuminate hidden debris
– Sufficient cord length to work around a normal sized room
Cons:
– Strong suction will "eat" light loose area rugs
– A bit small for large-scale vacuuming a big space – best for rooms with furniture, small areas, corners, walls, and baseboards
Nitpick:
– Could possibly use an optional shoulder strap for support if you need both hands to move items while vacuuming
